Perfection

I went looking for perfection
Instead I found
Something more impactful and profound
I went searching for perfection
But on my quest
I found a ton of crap and a bunch of mess
I went looking for perfection
In search for a dream
Where nothing was quite what it seemed
I went looking for perfection
But realistically
Perfection was constantly elluding me

I went looking for perfection
But on my way
I met a big bad wolf leading me astray
I went searching for perfection
In body and mind
Frustrated because it was something I could never find
I looked out for perfection
And I didn't see
Imperfection looking out at me
I went looking for perfection
But what I got
Was the kettle pointing out calling black to the pot

Everybody is out looking for perfection
But it will never be
Realize things are what they are
And stick with reality
